How much does mediation cost?
One of the benefits of mediation is that mediation often costs much less than litigation. At Common Ground Solutions, we believe in complete transparency concerning pricing. In almost every case, fees are based on whether you choose to book a two-hour, half-day, or full-day session. Prices are per party and include one 30-minute individual session per party, which takes place prior to your scheduled mediation. (If you are viewing this page on your mobile device, and you cannot see pricing in the following table, please either view this page in landscape or on a larger device.)
What Is a Drive-By Mediation?
A drive-by mediation is designed for situations where the parties have already reached agreement on all terms and simply need a mediator to prepare a Mediated Settlement Agreement (MSA) for the judge. This is particularly valuable when the parties have agreed to something that differs significantly from the default provisions of the family code.
Reduced-Fee and Pro-Bono Mediations
I strongly believe in the value of mediation — especially when preserving a functional relationship on the other side of a dispute matters as much as reaching a resolution. Cost should not be the reason people remain stuck. If the published prices are out of reach for your situation, I invite you to contact me directly to discuss it. I offer a limited number of reduced-fee and pro-bono mediations each year for those who qualify. I can also refer you to other organizations that may be better positioned to help.
No one should have to navigate conflict alone because of financial circumstances!
If you are considering mediation or would like to explore whether it may be the right tool for your situation, I invite you to reach out.
